The Ideogram Network Rebrands to ArifaLab Technologies
A story of transformation and innovation.
What began as a high school project for Isaac Muendo and Kimani Kamau has blossomed into the thriving cybersecurity startup, ArifaLab Technologies. Formerly known as The Ideogram Network, we've rebranded due to our passion for cybersecurity. Our new mission is to provide robust solutions to Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs), startups, and individuals with limited access to cybersecurity infrastructure, countering social engineering attacks.
Isaac and Kimani launched The Ideogram Network in 2021, propelled by their fascination with cybersecurity. Their high school project served as the catalyst for this endeavor, encouraging them to explore the realm of cybersecurity further. Their project quickly gained attention, earning them two prestigious awards: one in 2019 at the Young Scientist Kenya Exhibition and another in 2021, where they received the Young Inventors Award from the Kenya Intellectual Property Institute.
These accolades fueled their determination to further pursue their passion. Initially, The Ideogram Network concentrated on fact-checking and tech trends. However, driven by Isaac Muendo and Kimani Kamau's love for cybersecurity, the company shifted its focus towards developing software solutions and providing cybersecurity services.
"It felt like the next logical step for us. Recognizing the urgent demand for locally developed cybersecurity solutions, particularly in Kenya and across the African region where infrastructure is still evolving."
Isaac Muendo - Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Now, as ArifaLab we aim to fill the gap in cybersecurity services by providing affordable, yet high-quality solutions tailored to the needs of our clients. The rebranding signifies a renewed dedication to empowering businesses and individuals with the tools and knowledge to mitigate the risks posed by social engineering attacks and other cyber threats.
"We believe that everyone deserves access to reliable cybersecurity measures. Our mission is not just to offer services but to empower our clients to safeguard their digital assets effectively,"
Kimani Kamau - Co-founder, and Head of Security Operations Centre.
With their innovative approach and unwavering commitment, our founders are poised to make significant strides in the cybersecurity landscape, starting with Kenya and expanding their reach globally.
